Raytheon Lands Potential $376M Contract to Support Navy Helicopter Sensor System

Raytheon Technologies (NYSE: RTN) has secured a potential seven-year, $376.4 million contract to help the U.S. Navy maintain a forward-looking infrared targeting system used on MH-60R and MH-60S helicopters.

The defense contractor will update, repair and provide logistics support for 15 Multi-Spectral Targeting System FLIR components, the Department of Defense said Tuesday.

Naval Supply Systems Command issued a $58.2 million delivery order concurrently with the firm-fixed-price contract.

Seventy percent of work will be conducted in Jacksonville, Florida, and the remaining 30 percent will occur in McKinney, Texas.

The non-competitive procurement has a five-year base period of performance worth $272.7 million, followed by a two-year option period that would extend work until May 2029.

Raytheon’s intelligence and space division designed MTS as an electro-optical and infrared sensor to equip military aircraft platforms with long-range surveillance, laser designation, tracking, target acquisition, tracking and range finding features.
