Raymond Karrenbauer Joins CMMC Accreditation Body as EVP, CFO

Raymond Karrenbauer, a veteran of the insurance and information technology sectors, has joined the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification Accreditation Body as executive vice president and chief financial officer.

He will oversee the technology portfolio, business operations and financial accounts of the organization responsible for managing CMMC standards under its agreement with the Department of Defense, the accreditation body said Wednesday.

His career includes time as senior VP and chief information officer at IFG Companies, EVP and CIO at Axis Capital, chief technology officer of ING’s Americas business and SVP and CTO of Cyberian Outpost.

Karrenbauer said he will work with CMMC-AB CEO Matthew Travis and staff members in efforts to help DOD ensure digital security of the defense supply chain.

The accreditation body added that former acting Treasurer Yong-Gon Chon will remain on the organization’s board of directors as an officer as part of the CFO transition.
