Rainer Blair
Rainer Blair, a Danaher Corp. (NYSE: DHR) vice president and group executive, will elevate to an executive VP role at the Washington, D.C.-based science and technology company in a transition scheduled to take effect Jan. 1, 2017.
Danaher said Thursday Blair will be responsible for the company’s $5 billion life sciences platform and directly report to President and CEO Thomas Joyce in the future EVP role.
Blair currently serves as president of Danaher’s Pall Corp. subsidiary that makes air and water filters for biotechnology companies.
“Rainer’s strong leadership and excellent operating skills have added significant value to the growth and evolution of Danaher into a multi-industry, science and technology company, ” said Joyce.
“Rainer embraces our core values and passion for the Danaher Business System and we look forward to his continued contributions and successes in the years to come, ” Joyce added.
Blair previously served as president of Videojet North America & Europe, president of SCIEX and group executive of the life sciences platform at Danaher.
He joined Danaher from MAPEI Americas, where he served as president and CEO.
Blair held roles of increasing responsibility during his 15 years at BASF Group.
