Leahy, who announced the appointment in a LinkedIn post on Thursday, most recently served as director of advanced programs at General Atomics. She joined General Atomics in June 2020 after spending time as director of operational space command and control systems for Raytheon Intelligence & Space.
Her private sector career also included over a decade holding leadership positions at General Dynamics, with a focus on managing business operations and programs related to intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance systems; more than a year with L-3 Communications as senior business operations manager for intelligence solutions portfolio; and over two years at Science Applications International Corp. as business manager for diverse research and development portfolio.
Leahy holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from George Mason University – Costello College of Business.
