Kerry Wisnosky , chief operating officer at Quantum Space , has been named president and CEO at the Rockville, Maryland-headquartered geostationary and cislunar payload transportation company .
The 25-year space industry veteran will direct the company’s strategy amid preparations for the maiden deployment of its Ranger multi-purpose orbital transfer vehicle, Quantum Space said Friday.
He succeeds Steve Jurczyk , a former NASA official who helped establish the commercial space infrastructure and services provider and will transition to an executive vice president role at investment firm IBX.
Wisnosky is co-founder of Millennium Engineering and Integration, which merged with QuantiTech in 2021 and subsequently rebranded as Axient .
Quantum Space aims to launch its Ranger spacecraft in early 2025 to carry customer payloads and hosted assets into geostationary and cislunar orbits.
