Waleed Abdalati, director of the Cooperative Institute for Research in Environmental Sciences at the University of Colorado, Boulder. His efforts focus on advancing satellite development and data utilization to understand the behavior of the Earth system. He also leads community initiatives aimed at engaging leaders and encouraging investments in Earth observation platforms.
David Herring, manager of the communication, education and engagement division at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s Climate Program Office. He held a 16-year career with the Earth Sciences Division at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center before joining NOAA in March 2008.
