TYSONS CORNER, VA, March 21, 2016 The integrated Polycom (Nasdaq: PLCM) and GenbandLocal Session Controller technology has completed a certification test by the Joint Interoperability Test Command, ExecutiveBiz reported March 8.
Genband said March 7 the two companies await the JITC final certification before their joint offering can be integrated into the Defense Departments communications network.
“Public sector organizations are in need of a standards-based replacement for legacy phone systems and dated communications infrastructure, ” said Sean Berg, vice president of Polycom’s public sector business.
The Local Session Controller combines Polycom’s VVX business media phones and Genband’s application server.
