Philip Breidenbach
Philip Breidenbach, former chief engineer of Savannah River Remediation, has been appointed president and project manager of the Amentum-led liquid waste management contractor supporting the Department of Energy's Savannah River Site.
He succeeds Tom Foster, who transitioned to a new role as chief operating officer at Amentum's nuclear and environment strategic business, the company said Thursday.
Breidenbach will oversee SRR's contract work and facilities. He previously served as a vice president of AECOM (NYSE: ACM), which spun off and sold its management services group to two investment firms. The group relaunched earlier this month as Amentum.
His three-decade industry career has involved leadership of multiple projects for DOE and the National Nuclear Security Administration.
Bechtel, BWX Technologies (NYSE: BWXT) and Jacobs (NYSE: J) are part of the SRR venture.
