Thiel announced his appointment in a LinkedIn post published Tuesday.
In this capacity, Thiel will oversee Dewberry & Davis, which supports federal, geospatial and technology customers and contracts at Dewberry. He will be responsible for optimizing the firm’s opportunities with the General Services Administration’s One Acquisition Solution for Integrated Plus, or OASIS+, contract.

According to his LinkedIn profile, Thiel brings over four decades of industry experience to the role.
He has been with Dewberry for over 24 years. He most recently served as EVP, overseeing the architecture, engineering and construction firm’s federal, geospatial and tech practice.
He has managed Dewberry’s major geospatial contracts with several agencies, including the Federal Emergency Management Agency, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the U.S. Geological Survey.
