The Department of the Navy has awarded Perspecta (NYSE: PRSP) a four-month, $62M extension to its Next Generation Enterprise Network contract for end-user hardware services to the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps.
Perspecta said Thursday it currently manages the Navy Marine Corps Intranet encompassing over 700K DON users who are primarily deployed throughout the continental U.S.
DON extend the company’s performance period through July as the department transitions the services to the follow-on contract known as NGEN-Recompete.
Mac Curtis, president and CEO of Perspecta and a 2020 Wash100 winner, said the company has significant experience supporting the NMCI infrastructure and helping to ensure uninterrupted network service for the country’s sailors and Marines.
“We look forward to leveraging our knowledge and experience to support their evolving needs,” Curtis added.
Perspecta and its predecessor companies’ support of the NGEN program dates back to 2000.
