The team of Perspecta (NYSE: PRSP) and PRA Health Sciences (Nasdaq: PRAH) has created a software-as-a-service platform for the Department of Veterans Affairs to manage a national research program.
Perspecta said Tuesday the MVP Online application works to help military veterans enroll in the VA’s Million Veteran Program, access information, submit feedback and engage with department personnel electronically.
The SaaS platform is built upon PRA’s cloud-based Clinical6 mobile technology for clinical trial participant enrollment, data collection and engagement.
Mac Curtis, president and CEO of Perspecta and a 2019 Wash100 awardee, said that MVP Online can serve as a platform for the department’s health care transformation efforts.
“We are proud to support the VA in their continuous endeavor to support the men and women of the armed forces who have selflessly served our nation,” Curtis added.
VA established the program to develop medical databases that will contain health information and blood samples from participants and examine the potential effects of genes on one’s health.
