Peraton will support the maintenance and operation of communications systems for NASA’s Deep Space Network Program under a $513.5 million subcontract from agency-sponsored Jet Propulsion Laboratory.
The company said Thursday it will maintain four antenna stations equipped with parabolic dish antennas and ultra-sensitive receivers at the Goldstone Deep Space Communications Complex.
Services under the subcontract also include antenna upkeep, infrastructure management and armed security services.
“We look forward to continuing our strong relationship with JPL to further enable assured communications for our Nation’s space exploration missions,” said Roger Mason, president of Peraton’s space and intelligence sector and a four-time Wash100 awardee.
DSN is a network of large radio antennas, operated by Caltech-managed JPL, that aids interplanetary missions and conducts radar and radio astronomy observations.
