TYSONS CORNER, VA, September 29, 2020 — Red Hat secured National Information Assurance Partnership certification under the Common Criteria standards for its Enterprise Linux 7.6 operating system following assessment work by Acumen Security, ExecutiveBiz reported Sept. 15.
The software company said Sept. 14 its open-source platform was also added to the National Security Agency’s Commercial Solutions for Classified program.
Paul Smith, senior vice president and general manager of Red Hat’s North American public sector business and a three-time Wash100 Award recipient, said the two designations emphasizes the firm’s “commitment to providing a more secure platform for even the most sensitive and classified workloads across the public and private IT sectors.”
