Patrick Herwig
Patrick Herwig, former general manager of Iron Bow Technologies' federal civilian business, has joined government information technology reseller Govplace as senior vice president of sales.
He brings a track record of leadership experience to his new position and will oversee Govplace's sales, alliance management and sales engineering team, the company said Tuesday.
Herwig previously served as director of at Vidyo's federal unit and regional manager of public sector sales at Cisco (Nasdaq: CSCO). He also worked in federal operations, channels and sales positions at Tandberg.
Troy Hartless, chief operating officer of Govplace, said he believes that Herwig's federal sales experience can help drive business growth when applied along with the company's portfolio of cyber, physical security and cloud computing offerings.
