Parsons (NYSE: PSN) has secured a $69 million contract to provide computing technology research and development services to the U.S. Army.
The company said Tuesday it will explore computational approaches for potential battlefield mission use, machine learning and other emerging technology that can support the branch's high-performance computing applications.
Work under the five-year contract will take place at facilities operated by the Army Research Laboratory's computational and information sciences directorate in Maryland and New Mexico.
The directorate conducts R&D projects in the communication, network, computing and information science areas.
