TYSONS CORNER, VA, June 18, 2018 Parsons has found a lack of collaboration between information technology and operational technology engineers to address the increasing cyber risk present in the rising adoption of internet-connected devices in critical infrastructure, ExecutiveBiz reported Friday.
The company said Thursday it surveyed 300 industrial control system and OT professionals in energy, water and other critical infrastructure sectors, where 66 percent reported their organizations as beginning to incorporate more industrial connected devices into ICS, while 78 percent said they are not highly involved in cybersecurity efforts for ICS.
The Parsons 2018 Critical Infrastructure Risk Assessment report also cited models that do not demonstrate an integrated cybersecurity approach for both IT and OT environments.
