Palomar Display Products will manufacture gunner displays for the U.S. Army's M1A2 Abrams battle tanks under a follow-on contract worth potentially $89.2M over seven years.
The company said Monday it will supply Biocular Image Control Units and spares as well as provide engineering and repair services as part of the firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract.
Paul Bell, president of Palomar Display Products, said the award comes after the company fulfilled orders under a previous $78M contract.
"We are proud to retain, for the fourth time, our sole source supplier position in supplying critical hardware to the most advanced fighting vehicle in the world," Bell added.
