Palo Alto Networks, a cybersecurity firm headquartered in California, has finalized its acquisition of identity security firm CyberArk in a transaction valued at approximately $25 billion.
Palo Alto Networks said Wednesday that it will integrate the CyberArk Identity Security Platform into its Cortex and Strata platforms to deliver identity-aware security and real-time response across the enterprise and secure human, machine and agentic artificial intelligence.
Under the agreement, CyberArk shareholders will receive $45 in cash and 2.2005 shares of Palo Alto Networks common stock for each ordinary share.

Palo Alto Networks announced that it had agreed to acquire CyberArk in July 2025. Following the transaction, Palo Alto Networks announced plans to pursue a secondary listing on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange under the ticker “CYBR,” while continuing to trade on NASDAQ.
How Does the CyberArk Acquisition Strengthen Cybersecurity for Palo Alto Networks Customers?
The company said identity has become the primary attack surface as organizations expand use of cloud computing, automation and AI. Machine identities now outnumber human identities by more than 80 to one, and nearly 90 percent of organizations have experienced identity-related breaches.
By extending privileged access management controls beyond administrators to all identities, the cybersecurity firm aims to reduce excessive access, prevent credential abuse and accelerate breach response.
“The emerging wave of AI agents will require us to secure every identity—human, machine, and agent. This is why we moved decisively by announcing our intent to acquire CyberArk last July and am excited to have product integration begin,” stated Nikesh Arora, chairman and CEO of Palo Alto Networks. “For our customers, this means the end of ‘identity silos.’ They can now manage privileged access across their entire hybrid cloud environment from the same company they trust for Network Security and Security Operations—to ensure they are secure in the AI era.”
