Palantir Technologies (NYSE: PLTR) will continue to provide a data management and decision support platform to Space Systems Command under a $43 million contract extension.
The company said Thursday its Warp Core technology supports situational awareness and decision-making efforts at U.S. North American Aerospace Defense Command, U.S. Northern Command and SSC’s Cross Mission Ground and Communications Enterprise as part of Project Brown Heron.
Warp Core is designed to help users integrate, process and manage large amounts of data from multiple sources.
“The threats to our nation in and through the space domain are very real as we’ve seen in recent weeks, we must continue to advance our Nation’s Space Domain Awareness capabilities,” said Doug Philippone, lead for the global defense business at Palantir Technologies.
“We’re very proud to have consistently earned the confidence of this innovative organization and to continue our partnership.”
Palantir noted that the contract’s cumulative contract value to $91.5 million and the command has used Warp Core to support evacuation missions in Afghanistan.
