TYSONS CORNER, VA, April 6, 2018 Orbital ATK (NYSE: OA) has tested the SR 118 rocket motor technology in preparation for the Ascent Abort 2 Flight Test, which seeks to assess a system designed to keep astronauts safe if a problem occurs during spacecraft ascent, ExecutiveBiz reported Thursday.
The company saidOrion prime contractor Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) and NASA plan to use the rocket motor for the evaluation of the spacecrafts launch abort system.
