TYSONS CORNER, VA, April 18, 2018 Orbital ATK (NYSE: OA) has unveiled the Next Generation Launch system rocket dubbed OmegA at the 34th Space Symposium in Colorado as the company continues to pursue work under the U.S. Air Force‘s Evolved Expendable Launch Vehicle program, ExecutiveBiz reported Tuesday.
The company said Monday the rocket configuration, which features the Aerojet Rocketdyne-built RL10C upper-stage propulsion engine, aims to provide launch services to civil, defense and commercial customers in three years.
Propulsion system ground tests on OmegA are scheduled in 2019.
