TYSONS CORNER, VA, May 3, 2017 Orbital ATK (NYSE: OA) has completed a test of the attitude control motor on the launch abort system of the Lockheed Martin-built (NYSE: LMT) Orion spacecraft to verify the motor’s capability to perform in case of an aborted mission, ExecutiveBiz reported Tuesday.
NASA and Lockheed personnel took part in the test that worked to qualify the LAS attitude control motor for crewed flight in support of the industry team’s effort to deploy Orion for future deep space missions, Orbital ATK said Monday.
