Oliver Ratzesberger
Oliver Ratzesberger, most recently executive vice president and chief product officer of Teradata (NYSE: TDC), has been appointed chief operating officer at the data management and analytics company.
Teradata said Monday Ratzesberger will report directly to President and CEO Vic Lund and oversee the firm’s go-to-market strategy as part of his COO responsibilities.
He joined the company in 2013 and has since led research-and-development programs for database, analytics platform, big data analytics and associated offerings.
Ratzesberger managed software teams within Teradata Labs that worked on the Database, Aster, IntelliCloud and IntelliSphere platforms, as well as open source technologies such as Hadoop.
Prior to Teradata, he held leadership roles at eBay (Nasdaq: EBAY) and NCR (NYSE: NCR).
He also authored the book, entitled “The Sentient Enterprise: The Evolution of Business Decision Making.”
