DEA’s office of acquisition and relocation management awarded the contract through a competitive solicitation set aside for 8(a)-certified small businesses, according to an award notice published Tuesday.
The contract has a one-year base period and four option years and will require the vendor to hire employees who are cleared for security background investigations.
The contractor will also provide analytical, clerical and financial services in support of the Diversion Control Program, which enables the diversion control division within DEA to “maintain an overall geographic picture of controlled pharmaceutical drug and listed chemical diversion and abuse problems and identify new trends or patterns in diversion and abuse to which DC can appropriately direct resources,” the solicitation notice reads.
Alaska Native Corp.-owned Ocean Bay is a small disadvantaged business that offers information technology systems engineering and analysis, business process engineering, logistics, information assurance and training support services to military and federal agencies.
