David Batters
David Batters, formerly group chief financial officer at the U.K. Nuclear Decommissioning Authority, will serve as AECOMs (NYSE: ACM) senior vice president and international sector lead for nuclear and environment strategic business unit within the companys management services group, starting Sept. 1.
He will report to Mark Whitney, executive VP and general manager of the business unit, and support government and commercial clients in the U.K., Japan and other countries in Europe and Asia, AECOM said Monday.
Prior to NDA, Batters served for more than two decades at BAE Systems, where he served as group CFO.
Batters international experience and knowledge in the nuclear industry will allow us to further our momentum in the international government and commercial nuclear market, said John Vollmer, president of AECOMs management services group and a 2019 Wash100 winner.
This appointment strengthens our international presence in a key growth opportunity market as we implement the spin-off of our new company in 2020, Vollmer added.
AECOMs board of directors approved in June the companys plan to spin off its management services segment into a publicly traded independent company focused on serving national government clients. The move is expected to conclude in the second half of fiscal 2020.
