A subsidiary of NTT Data Services has secured a potential five-year, $95M contract to help the Department of the Interior update a system designed to automate regulatory and business processes at two DOI bureaus.
NTT Data Federal Services will support assessment and modernization of the Technical Information Management System’s enterprise architecture for the bureaus of Ocean Energy Management and Safety and Environmental Enforcement, the company said Tuesday.
The contract will also include efforts to assess Information Technology Infrastructure Library processes, security posture, agile practices and DevSecOps applications.
Tim Conway, president of NTT DATA Services’ public sector business and a former Wash100 inductee, said the company seeks to help DOI manage offshore resources with the use of new and emerging technology platforms.
“Our team is committed to working with BSEE to deliver on their important mission of oversight and enforcement in these areas by leveraging automation, agile development and innovation to streamline operations.”
TIMS is intended to facilitate storage, processing and sharing of offshore asset data. Personnel at the DOI headquarters, BOEM, BSEE, the Office of Natural Resources Revenue, oil and gas companies and other government agencies use the system.
The department aims to consolidate day-to-day system operations and maintenance cycle tasks as well as incorporate new tools without affecting user experience.
NTT DATA partnered with NuAxis, Prolantics, MBS and Sparkhound to carry out the TIMS modernization project.
