TYSONS CORNER, VA, March 21, 2019 Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC) unveiled plans to apply a four-tiered strategy in support of the company’s effort to build a competitive edge in the hypersonic defense market, ExecutiveBiz reported Wednesday.
Defense News reported Tuesday that Northrop is moving to pursue opportunities in hypersonic defense with the help of a new campaign website, as Kenn Todorov, vice president of missile defense solutions, indicated customer interest in kinetic and nonkinetic measures against hypersonic threats in the glide phase.
According to the report, the company’s strategy also revolves around space-based sensors and command-and-control systems, with the former being the main focus in line with the Department of Defense’s priorities.
