TYSONS CORNER, VA, April 25, 2017 Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC) has opened a new autonomous systems research facility at the Grand Sky unmanned aircraft systems business and aviation park in North Dakota in a move to increase support for the Grand Forks Air Force Base, ExecutiveBiz reported Monday.
The company said Friday the building will serve as a hub for UAS research and development, operations and mission analysis, aircraft maintenance and training for pilots, operators and maintainers.
Northrop’s new facility covers an area of 36,000 square feet.
