TYSONS CORNER, VA, March 18, 2019 Northrop Grumman‘s (NYSE: NOC) innovation systems sector seeks to generate 175 new jobs in Cecil County, Md., in line with the expansion of its rocket engine manufacturing facility in Elkton, ExecutiveBiz reported March 5.
The office of Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan said March 5 the former Orbital ATK business, which Northrop acquired in 2018 to create Northrop Grumman Innovation Systems, plans to deliver the job opportunities over five years in a move that supplements the state government’s efforts under the Maryland Jobs Initiative.
“Our continued partnership with both the state and county will ensure that the Elkton operation will continue to provide innovative technology to NASA and the Department of Defense for many years to come,” said Mike Kahn, vice president and defense systems group president at Northrop Grumman Innovation Systems, and a past Wash100 awardee.
