TYSONS CORNER, VA, September 7, 2018 ” Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC) is collaborating with Duke University and the University of Washington to utilize metamaterials in building configurable military aircraft antennas as part of a Defense Department-funded research project, ExecutiveBiz reported Thursday.
Duke’s Pratt School of Engineering said Tuesday the team, through DoD’s Defense Enterprise Science Initiative, will work to develop aerodynamic metamaterial antennas whose shape can be tailored to an aircraft’s curves and angles without impacting computations when a radar refocuses on different directions.
