TYSONS CORNER, VA, February 8, 2019 Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC) has delivered to the U.S. Navy the first two units of an updated airborne technology platform that the company built to detect mines, ExecutiveBiz reported Thursday.
The company said Wednesday the AQS-24C mine-hunting system, which builds on the capabilities of the AQS-24B, recently completed shipboard contractor testing and government helicopter testing on the MH-53E Sea Dragon and is in the pipeline for integration into the Navy’s Mine Hunting Unit Unmanned Surface Vehicle.
