Kathy Warden, president and CEO of Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC), will assume additional duties as chairman of the company, effective Aug. 1.
She will succeed Wes Bush, who will retire from Northrop on July 31 after serving in the position since 2011, the company said Tuesday.
Warden, a 2019 Wash100 winner, assumed the president and CEO roles in January. She previously served as president and chief operating officer with oversight of the companys four operating sectors and enterprise services organization.
Donald Felsinger, a member of Northrops board since 2007, will continue to serve as the defense contractors lead independent director.
