Marine Corps Systems Command is the contracting activity and will obligate the full contract amount using the U.S. Air Force’s other procurement funds for fiscal year 2024, the Department of Defense said Monday.
G/ATOR is a multimission radar system designed to help the Marine Corps expeditionary force detect, identify and track remotely piloted vehicles, cruise missiles, mortar fire and other airborne threats.
The contract option includes associated data support and travel.
Work on the contract modification will occur in Maryland, New York, Connecticut, Oklahoma, California and Georgia through February 2029.
In November, the Navy awarded Northrop a $265 million contract modification to continue providing engineering and logistics support services for the G/ATOR air surveillance system, which reached the full-rate production phase in 2019.
