NIST Selects Analygence for $125M Cyber Vulnerability Processing Support Contract

Maryland-based cybersecurity company Analygence has won a task order under a five-year, $125 million indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract from the National Institute of Standards and Technology, Nextgov/FCW reported Friday.

Through the task order, Analygence will help process cyber vulnerabilities for the National Vulnerability Database, which serves as a repository that enables cybersecurity researchers to evaluate potential cyber exploits. Developers have used NVD to train machine learning models that could help predict whether a software platform contains a potential vulnerability.

In a May 29 status update, NIST said it expects the backlog of entries to be cleared by the end of fiscal year 2024.

The Department of Commerce agency previously awarded Analygence an information security research contract.

Analygence has supported the Naval Air Warfare Center, Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency and other federal customers.
