Nick Noviello, formerly chief financial officer at NetApp(Nasdaq: NTAP), has joined Blue Coat Systems as CFO.
Noviello succeeds Gregg Hampton, who transitions to the role of senior vice president of business operations at Blue Coat, and will directly report to CEO Greg Clark, Blue Coat Systems said Wednesday.
“Nick’s financial leadership experience in large public companies will be invaluable to us, ” said Clark.
In addition to his CFO role, Noviello also served as executive VP of finance and operations at NetApp, where he led a team of at least 1, 500 personnel who perform capital structure, treasury, investor relations, financial planning and enterprise risk management functions.
The 20-year financial industry veteran and certified public accountant joined PwC in 1991 and helped manage mergers and acquisitions, audit and transaction services.
Prior to NetApp, Noviello worked at Honeywell (NYSE: HON) for eight years and held senior leadership positions, such as VP of investor relations and director of corporate finance for M&As and friction materials business.
