The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency has released a solicitation for a potential $708 million contract to provide data labeling services to support critical GEOINT artificial intelligence and machine learning capabilities across multiple directorates and programs within NGA, the National System for GEOINT and the Department of Defense.
NGA said Monday the Sequoia indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract has an ordering period of up to seven years and will additionally support analytic models, natural language processing and other AI and ML models that back business process automation for GEOINT missions.
According to the agency, the single-award IDIQ contract will support the NGA Maven Program, which applies AI to sensors and platforms used in intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance operations, primarily through computer vision.
According to a solicitation published Sept. 23, the source selection for the Sequoia contract includes an initial phase for oral presentations and a second phase for written proposals.
Industry stakeholders that plan to participate in Phase 1 should submit a letter of intent by Oct. 15 through the classified Acquisition Research Center website.
