Established in 1984, AGEC is a veteran-owned business that manufactures ground-based and shipboard ground power units, portable universal load banks and other aviation ground support equipment for military and commercial aviation industries.
The acquisition of AGEC will enable HDT to provide aircraft ground power and thermal management support services to the F-35 Lightning II, B-21 Raider and other military aircraft programs.
“The acquisition of AGEC is a natural step for Nexus and complements the products supplied by HDT’s Platform Systems sector,” said Vince Buffa, chairman of the board at HDT Global.
“This acquisition allows AGEC and HDT to develop a synergy that ultimately benefits our customers who require full flight line support,” added Buffa.
Solon, Ohio-based HDT provides missile transport and emplacement systems, aerospace ground support equipment, combat vehicle subsystems, industrial cooling and dehumidification platforms and CBRN protective equipment to government and commercial customers through its platform systems sector.
