Nazzic Keene Nazzic Keene , CEO of Science Applications International Corp. (NYSE: SAIC) and a 2019 Wash100 winner, said that mission engineering, technology modernization and space systems market opportunities can provide a catalyst for long-tern SAIC growth, the Washington Business Journal reported Friday .
œThis is not to say that we will forsake of contract opportunity, but these areas will draw increased focus and investment,” Keene told investors Thursday at SAIC’s third quarter earnings call.
The Reston, Va.-based company is also looking to invest in bid and proposal development, talent and infrastructure as part of revenue growth efforts, the report noted.
SAIC saw its Q3 revenue climb 38 percent to $1.63B and attributed the increase primarily to its acquisition of Engility last year .
Keene noted that cost synergies related to the deal have reached $38M and projected the combination will reach 85 percent of expected total synergy gain by the end of the firm’s 2020 fiscal year.
