The U.S. Navy has awarded 1,023 companies positions on the SeaPort Next Generation contract for professional support services as part of the second rolling admissions for the procurement vehicle.
The Department of Defense said Wednesday Naval Sea Systems Command launched a competitive procurement process and received 1,106 offers for SeaPort NxG Rolling Admissions II.
Approximately $5 billion worth of services will be procured annually through orders issued under the multiple-award contract vehicle. Awards to be issued under the contract will have a four-year performance period.
What Is SeaPort NxG?
SeaPort NxG is a multiple-award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract that provides the Navy with an integrated approach to contracting for professional support services.
The contract vehicle seeks to enhance small business participation and offers new industry partners an opportunity to participate through rolling admissions.
According to the RFP, the services to be provided under the IDIQ contract will fall under two categories: engineering and program management services.
The engineering services category covers 12 functional areas, including software engineering, development, programming and network support; measurement facilities, range and instrumentation support; research and development; and modeling, simulation, stimulation and analysis support.
The program management services category has 11 functional areas, including financial analysis and budget support; quality assurance; professional development and training support; and logistics.
