Nine small businesses have won positions on a potential five-year, $217M contract from the U.S. Navy to provide marine boatyard and industrial support for lot 1 watercraft.
The project will involve upgrades, alteration, repairs, maintenance and service life extension to non-commissioned boats, service craft, lighterage platforms and related systems, the Department of Defense said Tuesday.
Contract work, which will take place within the Hampton Roads area of Virginia, is initially scheduled to conclude in July 2020 and may extend until July 2024 if all options are exercised.
The Navy’s Mid-Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center competitively solicited the services via the FedBizOpps website and obligated a $2,500 minimum guarantee to each contractor through initial delivery orders.
