NASA Preps Follow-On Software Engineering Support IDIQ Worth Up to $423M

NASA expects to finalize a request for proposals for the next iteration of its Software Engineering Services contract vehicle in May.

A presolicitation notice posted Friday says that SES III will have a potential $423.2M maximum ordering value, which includes a unilateral upward adjustment rate of 30 percent for program-related uncertainties.

ASRC Federal is the incumbent for the SES II indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract, which NASA awarded in October 2015.

The new IDIQ covers work to help Goddard Space Flight Center’s engineering and technology directorate to develop, operate and decommission of information systems.

A potential vendor will support programs under the directorate and multiple platforms such as science data software monitoring, on-orbit performance management and spacecraft data processing systems.

Contractors who intend to submit proposals must hold top secret-level clearance to handle sensitive compartmented information.

The upcoming single-award contract is set aside for small businesses and has an ordering period of five years along with a six-month extension.

NASA aims to name the winning contractor by Jan. 19, 2021.
