The technology consulting firm said Thursday Hamid will scale a portfolio of tech offerings and lead the conceptualization, development, production and delivery of emerging products and related platforms to support the missions of U.S. federal government customers.
Bill Vass, chief technology officer at Booz Allen, said the company’s efforts to drive innovation in generative AI, quantum cryptography, advanced manufacturing and autonomy have resulted in numerous patents and breakthrough advancements.
“Integrating these technologies into new and existing products along with our commercial partners will rapidly accelerate outcomes for our clients. We are thrilled to have Mujtaba’s technical experience driving this important work,” Vass added.
Mujtaba Hamid’s Career Highlights
He brings to the role more than 25 years of experience developing tech platforms.
Prior to Booz Allen, Hamid spent nearly two decades at Microsoft, where he most recently served as general manager for mission infrastructure products within the company’s cloud and AI division.
The Purdue University graduate held positions in corporate and tech strategy, product management and engineering across Microsoft’s several divisions.
According to his LinkedIn profile, he spent nine years at tech company Xilinx, where he was involved in engineering, product planning and strategy efforts.
The Booz Allen executive is a startup mentor for the Alchemist Accelerator program in Silicon Valley and sits on the board of the semiconductor degrees program at Purdue University.
