Motorola Solutions (NYSE: MSI) has completed its purchase of Spillman Technologies, which will be part of the Illinois-based communications technology provider’s smart public safety solutions business.
Bruce Brda, executive vice president of products and services at Motorola Solutions, said Thursday the company made the acquisition with the goal to market an integrated command center offering designed to help customer agencies access public safety data in real time.
Salt Lake City, Utah-based Spillman Technologies develops computer-aided dispatch and records management systems for the law enforcement sector and maintains a portfolio of jail management, fire, data sharing, mobile data, field reporting, mapping and geographic information systems.
