Mike Corkery on Deltek’s Pivot to Virtual Event, Telework

Mike Corkery, president and CEO of Deltek and a two-time Wash100 Award recipient, said the company was able to reach over 15,000 Deltek Project Nation members worldwide by hosting the Deltek Insight 2020 conference in a virtual format.

He told ExecutiveBiz in an interview posted Tuesday that hosting the virtual event has allowed Deltek to offer breakout and general sessions for on-demand viewing through Dec. 31.

“And if an attendee would like to get certified on a Deltek product, they can do that for free through the end of the year as well,” Corkery added.

He noted that social distancing requirements due to the COVID-19 pandemic have pushed the company to be creative when it comes to delivering content and discussed how the company pivoted to telework during the pandemic.
