TYSONS CORNER, VA, April 4, 2018 The Australian governments signals directorate has added Microsofts (Nasdaq: MSFT) Azure and Office 365 offerings to the Certified Cloud Services List, allowing the technology provider to host data at the protected level, ExecutiveBiz reported Tuesday.
Microsoft said Tuesday the Protected Level certification comes as it launched two new Azure cloud regions designed to support the requirements of government agencies and critical national infrastructure in Australia and New Zealand.
Steven Worrall, managing director of Microsoft Australia, said the certification for the companys cloud platforms will work to support the governments digital transformation initiatives and efforts to simplify government processes.
