Michael Steuert, who served as senior vice president and chief financial officer of Fluor (NYSE: FLR) from 2001 to 2012, has been appointed to re-assume the CFO post effective June 1.
He will succeed Bruce Stanski, who will remain with the company to help analyze its investments and joint ventures as part of an ongoing strategic review, Fluor said Tuesday.
Steuert previously worked as finance chief at Litton Industries, which Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC) acquired in 2001, and at Aerojet Rocketdyne when it was still known as GenCorp.
He is a former member of the Carnegie Mellon council on finance and the National Financial Executives Institute.
In the same announcement, Fluor said 38-year company veteran Mark Fields will be president of its energy and chemicals business group.
