Michael Ames
Leidos (NYSE: LDOS) has promoted Michael Ames, a three-decade information technology services industry veteran, from a division director position to serve as a vice president at the company, FedHealthIT reported Thursday.
Ames has led enterprise IT and software development operations for the Reston, Va.-based firm’s programs in support of the Department of Health and Human Services and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
He previously served as a senior program manager with responsibility over the delivery of IT services to HHS and U.S. Air Force clients.
Prior to Leidos, Ames spent 13 years at Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) in program management roles that involved work on IT and engineering projects with clients such as the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and Environmental Protection Agency.
He holds a bachelors degree in management and marketing from Alfred University and a masters degree in finance and marketing from University of Rochester.
