MDA Picks Booz Allen for $63M Ballistic Missile Defense System Consulting Contract

Booz Allen Hamilton (NYSE: BAH) has received a potential five-year, $62.7 million contract to provide consulting, development, management and maintenance services in support of the Missile Defense Agency™s Ballistic Missile Defense System.

MDA awarded the cost-plus-fixed-fee contract through a competitive acquisition process with three bids received and will obligate $2.6 million from research, development, test and evaluation funds for fiscal 2016 at the time of award, the Defense Department said Tuesday.

Contract work also covers emergency management and security assessment support for other missile defense platforms and facilities, technology transfer, and evaluation and disclosure of U.S. classified and unclassified military data to international government agencies.

Booz Allen will also provide document declassification support related to MDA™s acquisition and R&D programs, international BMDS deployment assistance, as well as munitions import and export licensing support services for all agency components, staff, offices and contractors.

The company will perform work in California, New Mexico, Alabama, Alaska, Colorado, Virginia and other areas in the National Capital Region through May 2021.
