MDA said in the solicitation posted Monday on SAM.gov that it plans to conduct a research and development effort to identify new approaches to monitoring, tracking and engaging adversary weapons in all phases of attack.
The C2BMC advanced research opportunity will also support the development of a long-range discrimination radar for homeland defense applications as well as prototyping efforts involving concepts such as radio frequency communications, signals and data processing, artificial intelligence and machine learning.
According to the BAA document, MDA plans to deploy communication links between BMDS command centers as well as cybersecurity technologies and real-time awareness capabilities in line with C2MBC activities.
The contractor may also provide logistics, training and deployment support as part of the program.
