TYSONS CORNER, VA, Aug. 30, 2017 Tom Romeo, general manager of the U.S. federal services business at Maximus (NYSE: MMS), has said an outcomes-based contracting model will work to help the federal government bolster delivery of citizen services even with budget constraints, ExecutiveBiz reported Tuesday.
Romeo, an inductee into Executive Mosaics Wash100 for 2017, wrote in an article published July 26 that the approach will build on accountability and contractor-agency collaboration because of its focus on program outcomes to determine compensation.
“Outcomes-based contracting offers a risk-sharing mechanism that allows agencies to contract for measurable results while relieving them of the responsibility of paying for services that do not meet expectations,” he said.
